Blokarting


The weather was not on our side today, it was windy, cold, although kind of sunny, but on the beach: simply freezing! And still...nothing stopped the adventurous chess players:)
What exactly is blokarting?
The Blokart is a 3 wheeled kart which uses a sail, similar to those found on small dinghies, to provide traction.  It was first designed in New Zealand by Paul Becket as a recreation product for entire family. 

Blokart Sailing is a relatively new sport which is becoming more and more popular, mainly due to its large accessibility.  A Blokart packs away into a bag that will easily fit into the boot of a car and is very easy to set up and use, making it fun to use for recreation, as well as for pushing the limits of what they can do.

The Blokart is controlled using the hands only, meaning that a person’s size and mobility can not stop them enjoying themselves on one. And this is exactly what the chess players did today! Not all of them, mostly the younger and temerarious ones:)
